BIRTH DOULA SUPPORT
As a birth doula, it's my goal to provide you with support each step of the way. Once you've decided to hire me as part of your birth team, I want to ensure you receive the support you desire and deserve. Each service listed below is available to you at no additional charge and gives you an idea of how things flow after a complimentary consultation.
PRENATAL VISITS
After beginning our relationship with a complimentary consultation, you will receive 2-3 prenatal visits. We will go over your birth plan and preferences, childbirth education, discuss birthing options, procedures, postpartum options, and options regarding baby’s health, as well as answer any questions you may have.
LABOR & DELIVERY SUPPORT
As soon as you go into active labor, you can expect to be supported both physically and emotionally. As a doula, I have been trained on how to provide practical pain relief without the use of medication to help ease labor pain in a traditional and natural way. I will be by your side to help coach you through breathing during contractions, help you find a comfy position, take a walk with you, massage your back, hold your hand, or just offer words of encouragement.
IMMEDIATE POSTPARTUM
After you’ve welcomed your newest addition in to the world, I will stay with you during your postpartum period for up to 3 hours. During this time I’m able to help you adjust to breastfeeding or bottle feeding, assist you with your own hygiene needs, fetch you some food or drink, or just offer some support as you figure this new exciting life out.
POSTPARTUM VISITS
After you’ve settled in with your new baby, you will receive 2 postpartum visits. One at 3 days and again at 2 weeks. These visits are optional and are solely available to you to answer any questions you may have.
